Our Engagements
Inclusion and Women in Tech
Powens is a company engaged in diversity. We are convinced that all individualities are at the service of the collective.
We want to see more gender diversity in the tech industry! Powens works in partnership with Simplon and Ada Tech: two schools that prepare for digital careers and encourage the representation of women in tech. We participate in masterclasses to present technologies in which we are experts. We are also committed to recruiting students from these schools.
Our teams include employees who are self-taught or who have made a professional transition after a career in law, public administration, or the media. We are proud to support them in this change by offering them a first job in tech.
As part of this approach, we have been working over the last few years on the creation and improvement of our Ega Pro Index. The Women-Men Professional Equality Index is composed of 4 or 5 indicators assessing inequalities between women and men in the form of a score out of 100. We have improved our Index from 74 points in 2019 to 81 in 2022.
Quality of life at work
We work daily to improve the quality and conditions of life at work in order to provide a pleasant, comfortable and welcoming environment for all employees.
We listen to our employees and collect their feedback, needs and ideas through surveys and meetings. We promote work/life balance and support them in important moments of their personal and professional lives. Our remote working policy allows us to offer a lot of flexibility in the organization of working time.
Powens has set up a living well unit so that employees can confide in us about their problems, if the need arises. We also carry out actions raising awareness on the topics of harassment and burn-out.
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
Well aware of environmental issues, Powens has initiated a CSR approach to reduce its carbon footprint and make its activity more sustainable.
We work with the company LEMON TRI for the management of our waste. This partnership meets a double objective: to recycle our waste in a short circuit and to encourage the professional integration of people who have been unemployed for some time.
When we organize seminars, we make sure that our employees can travel by train to attend. We also organize vegetarian meals in our offices which is an opportunity to spend time together and to raise awarness on nutrition with healthier options.
